I met sweet little Seth today for our photoshoot. He was a super easy little guy to work with and may have been my quickest newborn session to date!

Mom even brought some of her own hats she found on etsy.com to the session! I love when parents bring their own hats and such, it’s nice to change it up once in a while!

Today I met one of the sleepiest newborns ever. Jackson was an absolute doll to photograph and was so sleepy and curly during the first half of our session today. I think he decided to let me know he had enough of me and my camera later on when he decided to pee on me! ; )

I simply could not believe how grown up Samantha  was on Saturday. The last time I saw her, she was just one week old! I had the honor of photographing her baptism on Saturday afternoon at Our Lady of Guadalupe, a gorgeous church.

Little miss S turned 6 weeks old today. While that is much older than my “typical” newborn, she surprised me and slept for a good part of our session today. What’s great about working with older newborns is the awesome eye contact they are able to give you! What more, she really surprised me when she didn’t even do what you would expect any baby to do without a diaper on (not even once!)  ; )

Oh how I love watching my babies grow. Mia is one of my baby planners who I will see every three months until she is one. We met a couple weeks ago for her 3 month photo session and I couldn’t believe how much she has grown already!

I am looking for one (possibly 2) expectant mothers who would like the birth of their upcoming arrival documented through a photojournalistic, unobtrusive style of photography. You can choose to be as modest or uninhibited as you like. I want to be there for you to capture the very special birth of your baby on film, because often times the day is such a blur and we forget so many little details we would love to hold on to forever. I had the birth of my second son photographed by my dear friend Amy of Elmwood Court Photography, and I will cherish those images for the rest of my life.

So what is included?

-Consultation before the birth to discuss your specific wishes

-Full event coverage, including labor, delivery, and those first few moments afterwards as a brand new family.

-DVD slideshow set to music (all images presented in black and white)

-CD of hi resolution images (presented in black and white)

-50% off a maternity or newborn session fee! 

A couple restrictions:

-You must be delivering within 45 miles of zip code 92335

-You must be willing to sign a model release to allow me to use images (at your discretion) for my portfolio

First of all, I have been seriously neglecting this blog during March and have quite a few sessions to blog! I am sorry, I promise to get them up by the beginning of next week. : )

This afternoon I meet with the B family for some maternity and family portraits. R is due with a (surprise gender!) baby in just a couple months and looks so fabulous! When she described what she was looking for out of a session, I knew it was something totally different that what I normally do, and forced me to go outside of my “comfort zone”. I loved the results.
